What is Skin Laxity?
Skin laxity refers to the weakening of the skin’s structural framework. Over time, collagen and elastin fibers break down, and the skin loses its ability to recoil and stay firm.
Skin laxity involves the deeper layers of the skin and, in some cases, the underlying tissue. Effective treatment requires stimulating collagen production, tightening tissue, or surgically repositioning structures, depending on severity.
